Happy Spring!! We will be discussing flowers, plants, caterpillars, butterflies, and birds. We are also planning to walk in the desert preserve to observe nature at its best. Please make sure your children are bringing water bottles each day and wearing appropriate shoes.

Dear Families,
Well here we are in March, the months just seem to fly by. The children really manage to keep us all hopping around here. They learn so quickly that we are forced to adopt new concepts frequently. How wonderful it is to teach three, four and five year olds. We will be talking about spring this month as well as working on letter recognition and sounds. This month we will be focusing on letters K and M. The color for March will be Green. Our wear and share days will be Tuesday, 3/20 and Wednesday, 3/21. Please remind your child to wear something Green and choose something Green for show and tell. On Thursday, 3/22 and Friday, 3/23 we have early release for conferences. Class will end at 11:50. There will be a sign up sheet if you feel you need to meet with us. Spring break is 3/26 - 3/30. April 4 is an early release day for us and class will end at 11:50. The children have been working on counting and learning about number to object relationships. They are beginning to understand the concept. We will continue this subject until the end of the school year. We are also learning about hibernation, migration and showing a great interest in where and how animals live. The color for February will be Pink. Our wear and share days will be Tuesday 2/27 and Wednesday 2/28. Please remind your child to wear something Pink and choose something Pink for show and tell. This month, we will be focusing on the letters P and L. The children will exchange valentines on 2/13 and 2/14. For the children who come every day please send in 30 cards. If your child comes three or two days please bring in 20. Your child may write his or her name on them if he or she chooses. (it is not necessary to address them to each child) We will be having a dentist visit the classroom this month. Preschool Registration for 2018-2019 school year has started, please see ECS for more information. Kindergarten Round - Up is February 6th 5-6:30 pm.
