AuthorMrs. Siegel wants every one of her students to develop a LOVE for school by allowing the children to engage daily in rich, extended play and learning activities. Some of our daily activities include: Variety of free choice classroom centers designed for open-ended play and learning which include a dramatic play area, art/writing center, sensory table, science center, block center, math/manipulative/puzzle center, classroom library; outside gross motor playground time; large group circle time activities that utilize the Frog Street Press curriculum (alphabet, numbers, shapes, and colors song books); Sanford Harmony Buddy Up activities; FocusedKids mindfulness and calming activities; Learning Without Tears literacy and handwriting activities; Kindermusik music and movement lessons; French lessons from the French Immersion Program; community-style snack time; small group and individual work with teacher; and visits around the DSA campus for lessons in Spanish and Specials Classes that include Music, Art and P.E Categories |
