Welcome to February!
We will begin this month by talking about Groundhog Day and what it means.
We will explore animals that hibernate in the desert.
This month our Science focus will be on features of the Sun.
Our Music and Me focus will be Animals- A-Dancing. We will explore different animals and their habits through music and movement.
We will continue learning our ABC’s and the sounds they make through our Frog Street Press big books.
We are going to explore the writings of Robert Munsch this month. If you want a good laugh, read Thomas’ Snowsuit.
The children continue to excel in Mandarin. They amaze me every day with their mastery of the language. If you are interested in having your child in immersion next year in kindergarten, make note of the meeting coming up this month.
Ask your child about their goals they are working on at school. Each child has chosen three goals that he or she are working hard to master. Some are social and others are academic, we have them listed on a board in the classroom.
As always, please feel free to talk to me about any questions or concerns you may have.
