Welcome to March!
This month we will be exploring Quilts by reading two books, The Keeping Quilt and The Quilt Maker’s Gift. Both are stories about how we keep special memories alive and how we treasure friendship.
Our Science focus is on the sun and its energy. We will be doing some puffy paint art and UV bracelets to help us learn about the ways we use energy from the sun.
We will be learning about the artists Pollock and Surat. We will study their art and then we will choose one of them to represent at the Art in the Garden event in April.
Our letters for this month are P, R, B and K. We will continue to review our shapes and colors and practice writing our names.
Parent teacher conferences are coming up, so please be thinking about getting together and talking about your child’s progress this year. I will have the sign-up sheet out on the 13th. I will be available before and after school the week of the 20-23rd. If you are a parent that I never see, Please let me know if there is a time you would like to meet and I will make it work.
There is no Preschool on the 23rd and 24th due to conferences.
