Kelly Hendrie Hi! My name is Kelly Hendrie. I am originally from New York, but I’ve been living in AZ since 2008. My husband, daughter and I came to visit in February 2008, and by August 2008 we packed up and moved to Scottsdale. In 2009 we bought a house in Cave Creek, and we’ve lived here since. We have one daughter, Makenna, who attended Lone Mountain and currently attends Cactus Shadows High School and is on their competition cheer team! I have many years of experience in the Early Childhood Field. I worked at a preschool in Greenwich, CT for 10 years. I was in the classroom the first 7 years and the following 3 years, I was the Early Childhood Program Coordinator. When we arrived in AZ, I started working at a preschool located in Scottsdale. During my time there, I had the opportunity to return to school and become a certified teacher. I began subbing in the Cave Creek school district in 2017. In January 2018, I accepted a full time position as a para in the 4th-6th grade resource room at Lone Mountain. While I had a great year with the older kids, I jumped out of my seat (literally) when I saw the job post online for “Preschool Teacher-LMES.” My family and I love to hike, explore National Parks, and travel. We have been to the bottom of the Grand Canyon 3 times, and will be hiking to Phantom Ranch for a fourth time in September..We have also hiked rim to rim in one day.. (26 miles..north rim to south rim)

Learning is so much fun!Curriculum Emphasis: Lone Mountain Preschool (3-5 years old) specializes in a hands-on learning environment that supports the students’ individual learning styles and diverse abilities. Lone Mountain Preschool is a STEM school. Students attend 5, 3, and 2 days a week. Kid’s Club, before and after-school child care, is also available to those who need an extended day.
